Swiss experience
Since 2016, Dropstone has been actively involved in the GEothermies.ch program in Geneva, in close collaboration with SIG and the Cantonal Geological Survey. We have conducted numerous studies and supervised boreholes to assess geothermal potential and improve the understanding of key aquifers.
Our work includes geological data analysis, field measurement campaigns, site selection, drilling supervision, pumping tests, hydrochemical analyses, and groundwater flow modelling—supporting both low-enthalpy geothermal development and longer-term research into deeper systems.
In Switzerland, we provide long-term technical support to cantonal services and public utilities, focusing on database management, drilling and permit assessments, groundwater monitoring, risk analysis, and the integration of subsurface data into planning and management tools.
International projects
Dropstone has delivered hydrogeological projects in humanitarian, development, and institutional contexts, including WASH backstopping, drinking water supply studies, post-disaster rehabilitation, capacity building, and program evaluations.
